About Us
WHAT DOES CINTRÉE MEAN?
Derived from the French word cintré, meaning fitted at the waist, Cintrée reflects a design philosophy centred on shape, structure, and balance.
Our collections are designed with a focus on the female silhouette — creating pieces that feel refined, flattering, and inherently feminine.
FROM THE FOUNDER
Cintrée is shaped by a personal journey rooted in heritage, observation, and a deep appreciation for silhouette.
Raised in the UK within a Cameroonian household, I grew up closely connected to both African heritage and French roots. These early influences shaped my understanding of femininity, presentation, and the effortless elegance that comes from being well put together.
My interest in fashion developed whilst visiting family in Paris where I became increasingly drawn to the chic vintage clothing and the distinct silhouettes of past eras. Weekends were often spent thrifting and attending vintage fairs — consistently drawn to pieces that emphasised waist definition and timleess sophistication.
Alongside this, travel became an important source of inspiration — learning through new environments, conversations, and exposure to different ways of dressing and living.
Cintrée is a reflection of these experiences — a considered approach to womenswear that values silhouette, longevity, and quality.
